KUOE Sombrero 90-011 Black Linen Textured Dial Watch #SM90011-BK-FLAT

Taking its name from the Sombrero Galaxy, which is said to be the most beautiful place in space, the SOMBRERO 90-011 is KUOE's first diver style design to date.

This watch is water resistant up to 20 BAR, shock resistant, has scratch and damage resistant sapphire crystal, and even comes with a magnetic resistant case, making it KUOE's most definitive tool watch to date.

This watch has a compressor style case design with a 20 BAR water resistance rating. Every watch is pressure tested after assembly to ensure this water resistance. The crown to adjust the inner bezel also screws down, so that the bezel will not be adjusted by mistake. The caseback is an embossed screwdown case back.

The dial of the watch has a linen finish that gives it a unique texture. The hands and indices are brushed stainless steel that use Old Radium colored Swiss Super-Luminova for bright and long lasting lumination. The bezel markings also have lume applied.

For the movement of this watch, KUOE has once again chosen to adopt the CITIZEN MIYOTA-made Cal.9039, a Japanese–manufactured high beat movement. This high beat movement oscillates 28,800 times per hour (8 times a second), reducing the distance of the swing of the second hand and increasing the precision of the watch.

The Cal. 9039 is a rather thin movement, which means that while the watch is 38mm in size, it is only 11mm thick without counting the Crystal. The crystal itself is a boxed shape Sapphire Crystal, and only increases the thickness to 12.45mm in total at its highest point.
