KUOE Old Smith 90-002 Automatic 35mm Watch with Ivory Dial #OS90002-ND-IV-NATO-SA

The OLD SMITH 90-002 raised 13 million yen for its original crowdfunding launch and has remained a best seller to this day. The OLD SMITH 90-002 is a classic field watch inspired by British military watches from the 1940s-1970s. The thick numerals and large hour/minute hands were designed with an emphasis on visibility and use orange-tinted luminescent paint. The dial has a matte finish to further emulate the dial designs of that time. The body of the watch (made of 316L Stainless Steel) is intentionally polished to add a bit of elegance to an otherwise rugged design.

For the movement of this collection, a TMI Japanese NH35/38 movement is adopted. TMI's NH series of movements are extremely popular workhorse movement used by microbrands around the world. The NH series of movements are mechanical movements with automatic winding with ~40-hour power reserve. The NH series also has a "hacking" function, which stops the seconds hand when setting the time for more accurate time setting.

The current revision of the OLD SMITH 90-002 now comes with Old Radium colored Swiss Super-LumiNova® lume. This branded paint lasts about one-third longer in low light conditions compared the original version of our watch. The lume is used and both the hand and indices to improve visibility in low light conditions.

All of our OLD SMITH 90-002 watches are assembled by hand by our in-house trained watchmakers to ensure the highest quality possible.
