The Herodia Mediterraneo is your value proposition Swiss made diver. Following a classic styling, the Mediterraneo maintains a familiar look, but certainly will be easy on your wallet. It features Swiss Made construction, including a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, that has 26 jewels and handwinding and hacking capability (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). A scratch resistant sapphire crystal will keep the watch looking new, as will the green ceramic bezel insert that has the traditional 60 minute dive timer markings in deep relief. A lume pip is located in the bezel triangle.

The hands and markers are generously filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9 which glows a cool blue when the lights go out, so you can easily tell the time in the dark. The date, located at the 3:00 position, has a sapphire cyclops that provides ample magnification, keeping the date easy to read.

To help maintain 200 meters of water resistance, the Herodia Mediterraneo uses a screw down crown. Additionally, a red gasket is used at the base of the crown tube, so if the crown is even slightly unscrewed, you will see a visible strip of “red” alerting you to seat it firmly. The dive bezel has a satisfying 120 click, uni-directional ratcheting motion.

Securing the watch to your wrist is a 20mm solid link, solid endlink bracelet that is sized with screws. It tapers to 18mm at the clasp, and the clasp is signed with a foldover deployant that has 4 positions of micro-adjust. And of course, there is a diver’s extension folded inside the clasp.
